FAQs
Answers to some of your frequently-asked questions can be found below.
We will update this section regularly as more queries come.

Where will the ceremony be held?
All our guests are special to us. However, due to space constraints, there will be two venues for the ceremony.
Our sponsors, entourage, and select guests are requested to join us at the Garden Pavilion on the 6th floor. All other guests will be seated at the Grand Ballroom I + II on the 3rd floor where a live feed of the ceremony will be shown. Ushers will be present to assist everyone upon arrival.
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
All guests are requested to be seated on or before 3:00 p.m.
Will the event be indoors or outdoors?
The Garden Pavilion is an outdoor venue. The ceremony proper will be held outside. For our guests joining at the Garden Pavilion, light refreshments will be served before the start of the ceremony at the nearby air-conditioned receiving area.
The Grand Ballroom I + II is located indoors.
Where will the reception be held?
Cocktails and reception will immediately follow the ceremony at the Grand Ballroom I + II on the 3rd Floor.
When are RSVPs due?
To give us ample time to accommodate each guest, we request that you confirm your attendance by 10 November 2024 (Sunday). If you previously confirmed but can no longer attend, please advise us as soon as possible.
Will there be a post-nuptial photoshoot with the guests?
In our desire to capture each moment, we want to take pictures with everyone as much as possible. As such, all group photos with the couple will be held at the Grand Ballroom I + II during the reception. Pictures with guests present at the Garden Pavilion will follow immediately after the ceremony and will be kept to a minimum.
Do you have a wedding hashtag?
Yes! Feel free to post your photos on social media with the hashtag #MagKatAbeForever.
Do you have a gift registry?
We appreciate your thoughtfulness in getting us a gift. As we are preparing for a life abroad, we have decided not to put up a gift registry.
However, instead of gifts, any monetary blessing to help us get started would go a long way.

Although we equally love your little ones, please note that this is a strictly adult affair.
Will there be parking available?
There is paid parking available all around the area. Guests may wish to park at the basement of Grand Hyatt or at Uptown Mall, Mitsukoshi, and other nearby parking buildings.
Will there be a room discount for guests who want to check in for the event?

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions?
We are mindful that each guest may have different dietary requirements. The reception will be buffet-style where guests will have a variety of food options to choose from. For those with food allergies, please let us know in advance through the RSVP link above.
Will your wedding be live-streamed?
Yes. We will be updating the website with the live-stream link as the wedding date draws nearer.
The Proposal
From Abe's POV, written on 18 December 2023:
One year in the making.
Some would say we met at a bad time. I had just taken a job abroad and was bound to leave in a few months. Still, we didn’t want to rush things. With our parents’ guidance, we decided to take a year to nurture our friendship first before anything else. The hope was to give ourselves enough time to discern whether we were really meant for each other or not.
Thankfully, we were able to test long distance some weeks after our first date. While away from her, it didn’t take long for me to realize that she was the one. It was inevitable—I was going to marry her one day.
And when that day comes, I wanted to be ready.
The idea was simple. I brought home a miniature double-decker bus after a holiday in the UK. I told her to keep it as a souvenir. What she didn’t know was I hid a note inside asking her to marry me.
That was last year, December 15, 2022.
Yesterday—December 17, 2023—we opened the bus together.
All this to say that Kat and I are now happily engaged.
To our family and friends who were with us along the way, my gratitude extends to the heavens. Thank you to everyone who took part in this journey, you know who you are.
To my fiancée, Kat, thank you for never giving up on us since day 1. You are proof that God was listening to my prayers all this time. I love you.
“But, as it is written, ‘What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.’” (1 Corinthians 2:9)
